Welcome to GuitarLessonsDC.com. Thank you for taking the time to look at my website. My name is Javier Reyes. I am a professional guitarist from the Washington, D.C. area. I have been playing and studying the guitar for twenty-one years. I have performened professionally in various cities throughout the country while touring with a rock band. I am currently in a live (real instrument) hip hop band called The FiF. I have also performed latin classical music at various private events.
I offer guitar lessons to anyone who is looking to acquire the skills and techniques needed to be able to play their favorite songs whether it is on a classical, acoustic, and/or electric guitar. I teach various styles of music such as rock, classical, and latin.
Guitar lessons are Focused on:
- Developing proper right and left hand technique.
- Learning how to read music notation, as well as guitar tabliture.
- Learning Various Scales and Modes
- Learning Chords
- Music Theory
- Composition
